DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT:

Helicopter skidded and rolled over on its side during landing.

Garmin G1000 - one screen appears cracked

DESCRIPTION OF DAMAGE:  See Photos

Engine ran on it side for some time and was making noise.  Transmission has a hole in it.  The main and tail rotor blades struck the concrete ramp.  This impact caused sudden stoppage of the main and tail rotor systems.  The main and tail rotor drive shafts failed after impact allowing the engine to run with no load while the aircraft was resting on its side.  The tail boom separated from the fuselage and folded up under the left side.  The landing skids broke from the impact. Engine, fuselage, cabin doors, main and tail rotor transmissions, main and tail rotor blades, main tail rotor driveshafts, tail boom, vertical stabilizer, horizonal stabilizer, skid gear, flight steps, hydraulic servos, flight controls, main rotor mast is yielded/bent, main rotor hub, main rotor swashplate, windows, windshield, cabin glass, center frame, cowlings and jet fuel and hydraulic fluid inside the cabin area.
